The most important thing to understand is that the masses of people do not have the ability for critical thought, and even if they know for a fact that something that is being promoted by the media is untrue, they will go along with it because the masses of other people are going along with it.

The ability for free thought is limited to a very small number of people. We are born with this ability hardwired into us, or we are born without it, and there is nothing anyone can do about that.

I need to go through and break this down in detail, with all of the examples. We were kind of approaching an understanding of this with the NPC meme, but I don’t think I did a good enough job explaining it. More than an explanation, we need data and examples.
