I donno dude. It kinda seems like people want to believe what they are told. I've be trying to cite as much data as possible, and some people just don't want to hear it.

Believing what you are told is easier than trying to make a decision for yourself. It also relieves the believer of any possible error, that can say "But that's what the doctors told me!"
