They are going to ban a list of products in the whole Europe, including cotton buds, so they can save the environment. In the meantime, "refugees" have created giant heaps of plastic boats and life jackets.
Anyway, I don't agree with the scope of the article about those plastic products. It will be a nuisance with little benefit for the environment. For example, they put a European tax on bio-degradable plastic bags used for shopping and now everyone gives a euro and buys a proper plastic bag that will take a thousand years to disintegrate.
