Who knows what kind of game he's running. Though he seems to be prioritizing being the people's hero over business (which may in the end be only a business/political strategy). Jew Sam Harris suggested he arranged the infamous first interview between Musk and Joe Rogan where Musk Bill Clintoned a joint, presumably to look cool.

It seems a little dubious to me. But I'm happy to be a fairweather fanboy while Musk is the only famous person speaking truthfully about corona.
