Perhaps if people knew that the blood they’re about to be injected with comes from drug addicts, whores, people who recently had sexually transmitted infections, homosexuals, and people with body mutilations piercings and tattoos, they would think twice before accepting it.

I can understand for drug users and people with infections, but if homosexuals, sex workers, and edgy people aren't infected with anything there's no issue. Yes, these are at-risk populations, but we can test people before allowing them to give blood.

Whoever wrote the article has no idea how donated blood is used. It is not all thrown into a single SKU for use in transfusions. The blood from these marginal people will not be given to others as whole blood, except in extreme emergencies. It will be broken into components. Only the plasma and platelets are likely to be used in hospitals to treat very sick people.
