I think he's gone too far into speculation territory with his estimates. Could be better or worse, but basically we just can't know. Nonetheless it's an interesting read and an interesting possibility to contemplate.

5% sounds high to me but its possible I guess, I'm not sure why he says the US medical system is worse than China's perhaps he's seen some data I haven't

I'd be surprised if it wasn't. We seem to be way past the point where containment is even a possibility. What's absolutely incredible to me is that everything is shutting down now. Like, what? It's too late!

I know I got the call yesterday that all after school activities(not that it matters for us we homeschool) are shut down until further notice in the county. Now schools are closing for 3 weeks in 3 days I'm stocking up water today its the last thing I need to get.
