I'll admit I only started following him recently, but it seems like he was not giving a fuck before. During the Groyper Wars I remember conservative inc twitter journalists started posting old clips of his to try to character assassinate him and they were basically consistent (on the "problematicness" scale) with what he was saying now.
Perhaps he was simply too low profile to shut down at that point?
They must've noticed him because they did the MTV "true life" filming (that actually turned into a hitpiece documentary on white nationalism) several years ago.
And those aforementioned twitter journalist clips were collected and saved (we know this because the videos all get privated and thus made inaccessible shortly after being released).
So he was on their radar but they chose to do nothing until he started catching on. Then all the sudden: twitter journalist clips, MTV wignat documentary, Ben Shapiro 45 minute speech, hit pieces... followed by three YouTube strikes in quick succession several months later.
It's actually a very revealing look at their strategy for shutting it down. One would think they would shut all the bad goyim down right away. But for some reason they watch, wait, and collect info they think will be damaging. I guess the goal isn't to ban, but to destroy.
