I used to drink a lot of energy drinks. Then one day I saw an infographic comparing the amount of sugar in various drinks to relative foods.
One can of monster has as much sugar as a dozen krispy kreme donuts. A DOZEN.
Since then, if I ever have an energy drink it’s sugar free, but even that is exceptionally rare. Black coffee poured over ice does the same thing
