He tried it with 3 different ones and it wasn't enough to move his mouse. He does have a sorta heavy Logitech one running on a doubleAA. Didn't work with my el cheapo super lightweight one either. Sounded promising lol.

No worries. It was a fun experiment. He didn't try it on a quartz watch which have a loud tick but his mouse is so heavy I doubt it would work on that either. He said he'd rather spend the 8 bucks on a jiggler than scratch a watch ;)

BTW I think the point of this trick was having the second hand cross the vision field of an optical mouse. Is this what you were testing.
