Fuckin horse hair. This is but one corner of four in the room. Sent the wife and kid to grandpa’s for the day. Took up all the molding and got the plaster from floor to the top of the doors all the way around. Roughly 12x12 room with this funny corner of stair cases.

Do you have any blood left in your arms from working overhead like that? Are you going to replaster, or do something different? Looks challenging. And I'd say you need a taller ladder

The ladder is fine, though it seems they’ve gone out of their way to make the not a step even less of a step. I’ll probably just sheet rock, gotta see how square the framing/lathe is.
