Fuckin horse hair. This is but one corner of four in the room. Sent the wife and kid to grandpa’s for the day. Took up all the molding and got the plaster from floor to the top of the doors all the way around. Roughly 12x12 room with this funny corner of stair cases.

Seeing those wood slats behind the plaster brings back some mostly-good memories. Been a long time.

I found getting the plaster out from between the slats where it hardened without breaking the slats can be very tricky, and you kept the whole wall intact. Nice job on that.

I broke a couple in other walls. Sledge, chisel, pry bar, claw hammer… they all have their uses.
