Why should I care? Most women and girls have zero interest in STEM.
Stop forcing them into it and trying to get them into it. If they are interested they will get into it and we don't need "girls STEM spaces".
People that work in these fields don't give a fuck who you are as long as you can do the work. They are anti DEI by default.
Also, fuck yourself. Why do you need so much $$$ to make the event happen? I am sure there are a hundred people out there willing to volunteer and put the event on for free. I have ran so many fucking "free" events where I put down my own money (and had volunteers) You can't make me think you needed funding for this.
They said the quiet part out loud. These orgs are full of DEI bullshit and gov funding they should not have and they are scared they will be found out by participating.
Look at last years sponsors and audit every single one of them.

“The idea in 'Girls in Science' is just what it sounds like,” Executive Director Joanna Cagan said. “It's to celebrate girls and the women role models in STEM careers that can help inspire young girls to know that they too can enjoy a career in the sciences.”
