If they actually offered him the job, but then turned him down based on race, he may have valid grounds for a lawsuit. If they had not offered him a job, then he would have no actual losses, but if they made a formal offer, that could well be legally binding (in the sense of them not being able to refuse to employ him on the basis of his race).

I've been boycotting them my whole life. I used to work in hotels. Don't use middle men, they are never cheaper. Call the hotel directly, or pop in and talk to the front desk. Front desk can also cancel your reservation, and expedia usually won't.

I started doing this like a year after all of those "travel" websites popped up. Even if the hotel said it had no vacancy all of a sudden it had vacancy and at a good price if you booked direct. Funny how that works.

Stop paying useless middle men a tax to do what you can on your own in 5 minutes.
