Yes they do. I was in the RCAF and we sent pretty much everything that qualified as maintenance, back to the manufacturers for what we called “3rd line” maintenance. Either that or just straight up replacement. The Americans are largely the same now with the replacement way of fixing. They have 10x the amount of trades for maintenance than canada so are way more specialized in what they do but with technology the way it is now and corruption through contracts pretty much everything is just a replacement, no real fixing gets done anymore
So all that is to say every part from Boeing is a risk and they’re sending out a lot of parts
African descendants making remote repairs for actual African parts hangers. It's the dream team of aircraft maintenance. I'm definitely flying Airbus.
Yep, for me I choose to drive. I’ve seen actual trannies melting down while turning wrenches. No thank you, I won’t be signing for that work.
