I actually agree with your logic. Hex is different though. If it didn't exist, I would never recommend buying anything in this market. It's built to perform in bearish conditions. Watch the price of hex go up while everything dumps. It doesn't follow bitcoin ir eth like the rest of the market because most of its liquidity is in usdc.
