I'm trying to create an account and they're asking for my social security number. I don't feel comfortable giving that out online - Coinbase never asked me for my SSN so why is Binance?
The site also glitched when I entered the phone verification code - had to refresh the page about 4-5 times until it worked.
It seems really sketchy to me.

Government is going to get everyones shit at the exchanges. Theyll know what crypto you have by how much your putting into and taking out of the exchanges. Thats why all the exchanges that didnt require all your personal information went away. 5 years ago when i bought crypto i was able to do it with little to no personal information except for a credit card.

Depending on where you are, you shouldn't need a centralized exchange. You can make ethereum purchases right inside Metamask with your cc
