I don't own crypto simply because, unfortunately, we live in a fake fiat economy. Our fascist government will feel threatened when we want sovereignty and react by restricting conversion of crypto to fiat and vice versa. Currently you are not allowed to buy crypto through any exchange without verifying your identity first. Interesting you can use cash at a retail store without ID to buy goods. Crypto, not so much. If I were to buy $10K worth of crypto, maybe five years later I may not be allowed to sell.
On top of that, our rulers want to tax any so called gains we make on the crypto. Keep in mind, the gains are really loss of fiat value.
Bingo. Buy precious metals rounds or bars. If you can't touch it, you don't own it.
Some crypto exchanges let you download the actual cryptos you own on to your computer or thumb drive.
