Well I remember when I was younger the term gang violence was used because the perpetrators of violence were overwhelmingly in gangs. It was probably a slightly PC was of saying black crime. Fast forward to day and its gun violence. I had the tv on a while back and not really paying attention to it. One of those reality shows along the lines of dancing with the stars or something. A guy on the tv mentions how his friend died. He said, "My friend joined a gang and lost his life to gun violence" The idiot blamed guns instead of his friend who joined a gang.
