I'm trying to find a pattern for what is below that line vs over. What drives South Dakota to have more than predicted gun murder rate than North Dakota? On the graph on the left you can apply that thinking, and the answer is black people. The only thing I see is that one set is more westward but it's not the most consistent.
Maybe it's average net worth. When you have more to live for you do less stupid things.
