This is just fucking stupid. At what point do you not just go to the local MOB boss and ask them for some "protection". You should be able to remove these pieces of shit with force and if they fight back, deadly force.

Everyone talks about "oh but there is insurance, nothing is worth someone's life". Yeah. Actually. My property IS MY FUCKING LIFE you scum. I had to work hard, invest and get somewhat lucky to have what I have. I spent my LIFE working for it. My property IS MY LIFE. You do not get to just take it because you are a entitled piece of shit communist.

Any of you fucks that think you should just be able to take over property should probably take a long walk off a short cliff. You are stealing someone's life. It is not just "given" you morons.

>A pair of squatters trying to game New York's 'insane' housing laws are attempting to beat the homeowners in court by using a $25 receipt from Shake Shack to prove they should be protected under the rules. In a DailyMail.com exclusive, we told the story of Denis Kurlyand and Juliya Fulmanof, a married couple who invested $530,000 in a property in Jamaica, Queens, several years ago now forced to go to court with the brazen would-be tenants. On March 5, a broker they were working with visited the property for a site check before allowing tenants to move in and found the locks had been changed.

Now that Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street own 10's of thousands of homes, isn't it interesting that the media is all about changing tenant laws to benefit the landlord. Squatters are all of a sudden everywhere.

How did a bunch of homeless people all learn a loophole in laws all at once? If I had to guess, it would be that Blackrock paid all of these people to do this, and told them what to say, in order to create a big enough problem in order to pass laws to get rid of the squatters, and at the same time, give even more rights to landlords while taking away protections for tenants.

Yea, there are literally 'how to ' clips on tiktoc and other social media explaining in detail exactly how to game the system.

With a side benefit of buying the rental properties that Mom and Pop landlords can no longer risk owning because squatters could financially devastate them.

Drill deep enough into any societal problem and you'll find a hook nose or two.

It should be fucking illegal for companies like that to own so many "single family homes".

Not only that, a lot of states (Colorado included) are trying to get rid of "related occupant" laws so they can rent them out to 20 un-related people at a time.

If the mob started offering protection for 25% of one's income (including protection from paying any and all other forms of taxes), they'd have everyone who is employed as customers.

Just a reminder: government is the mob and citizens are paying tAxEs for protection.

And not getting what I'd paid for.

Theres a dude on ytube that will move in (with the home owners blessing and legit filled out renters application) to basically make it so uncomfortable for the squatters they end up leaving and then they change the locks again.

There are a number of things honest property owners can do to prevent squatters and get their properties back outside of the court system. If you are a landlord or are thinking of selling your unoccupied home, hire a lawyer to advise you about offense and defense measures.

When I have an apartment for rent I NEVER EVER include photos of the outside of the building, nor do I include the exact address of the property. I have also stopped placing advertising signs at the street. I also do daily checks of the property to make sure it's empty. If you catch a squatter early, you can (typically) legally kick them out and the squatter will have to sue you to get back into it (which they don't).

Yeah, it should still be a CRIMINAL not civil offense. I like the law of the land being "you are illegally on my property, leave or enjoy some freedom pills".

[–] 1 pt

True, it's theft of a property and should be considered criminal.

The state provides a lot of aid to homeless people. If they choose not to make use of the welfare system, there is no excuse to steal my hard earned assets.

Yep, unfortunately because of daily life/ football, the knitting circle and the Kardashians some of these normies haven't even been to their own properties for weeks/ months on end before realizing the place is occupied by shit head squatters and has been for weeks.

You're bound to loose the things you take for granted.

It's crazy that a property owner could be so irresponsible.
