I think they inflated the 3.6% white homicide figures given that the US census defines 'white' as North African, European and Middle Eastern heritage and as we see in some circumstances, those of Jewish culture also may define themselves as 'white' too.

Every time they mention Whites in crime stats I am reminded of those photo collages showing those "Whites" and it's almost entirely mexicans, blacks, indians, and such. Of the few White faces, many of them have suspiciously long noses. All labeled "White" of course.
