Phones with mic and camera, TV remotes with mic, tv set-top boxes have been found with undisclosed microphones as far back as 2007, windows 10 and OSX, amazon and "smart" devices... All listening 24/7 and recording and adding it to your consumer/intelligence/slave profile. PLUS, wifi can be used to create images of people/objects in a closed room based off of resonance and echo location. PLUS many the devices are talking to each other using high frequency tones that the human ear cannot perceive - announcing themselves to other listening devices (broadcasting). So they already have the abilities this article concerns about.
