I used to look at like that, but now I think I'm a fractal originating from a DNA pattern/soul (same thing) and that the brain/nervous system is just one of the tools that the DNA uses to gather information and propagate itself. The DNA/soul itself is immortal, but it evolves over time as each iteration of the DNA/soul becomes better at manipulating the other inanimate or less animate molecules around it. Most people worry about living to see triple digits, but I feel pretty good being over a billion years old.
