I would prefer this but it would make them martyrs since people have been duped by them to turn into brainwashed, poisoned zombies instead of fighting back for their now abandoned civil liberties and rights.

I prefer death by a thousand cuts or the agonizing cartel/ brazil gang method of 'scraping' with a bladed instrument slowly back and forth across the skin until it is all completely erased, down to the raw muscle/ tissue beneath ....

Yea, it without a doubt appears extremely painful - forget the massive adrenaline dump before getting drawn and quartered, soul sucking prolonged excoriating pain intensive agony - prob the worst i can think of and seen online, off the top of my head.
