I didn't use genocide because it's ambiguous a bit since many different races/ethnic groups are getting screwed silently, also, I wanted to insist on the covert aspect of the event; genocides are usually loud and dirty, this is clean and discreet, most people think it's an accident/shit happens, they don't realize there's an intent behind this. So I settled for "mass assassination campaign" because I also believe the campaign is far from over and this is just the latest episode, just like syria is the latest episode of the middle east US military campaign
