You mean "double-think". George Orwell not only coined the term first, but also laid out an impressive depiction of how it works, and can be used as a tool to impose a totalitarian regime. He was spot on. We see his described double-think in action today.

"cognitive dissonance" is the faggot psychology term given to double-think years later.

I read it in school, back in the day we were educated with respect to criticality and evaluation in our OWN minds, literacy, double-think/cognitive dissonance is one in the same
