Oh absolutely! Plus all of us (20%) who refused all vaccines (religious exemptions, and, oh yes, us remote were required as well and threatened with "phase-out replacement") - the mandatory flu and covid ones - had to sign a form saying that no matter what we'd wear a mask in the office. I'm hoping that no one complies. It's another way to tell who is who.
It seemed that in most cases, when people just stood their ground against their employer's pressure to get the shot, it worked out in the end. That's what happened for me.
I've had several different doctors from very different fields and places tell me that "I'm smart for not getting the shot" now. The one ER doctor was telling me how it was causing all kinds of crazy reactions they'd never seen before. They always ask you specifically if you've gotten that "vaccine", and when he did, I was like "No, please don't try to ask me to get one because you won't convince me". He said he wish he hadn't gotten it, but he probably felt he had to in order to keep his job (he didn't say that part out loud).
That's what's really baffling. These college educated people with 8-12 years spent in study after high school are supposed to be the smartest of us, right? What's the takeaway from this?
They are still all bragging at work each booster they get. I changed teams in the middle of it all so only my old boss knows I didn't get it because he had to approve my exemption. I work with a couple of really smart people. The doctors are conformist idiots, but some of the analysts I work with are really smart, but sooooo trusting. One old lady that I adore told me the other day - "I'm due for my shingles shot but I'm scared to get it because it makes everyone so sick. My doc says I have to, so I guess I will the next time I go in." She's married to an MD of some kind. She's gotten all the vaccines they ever ask her too and the boosters. I'm guessing she's so old and her immune system so ravaged that she isn't reacting to them anymore.
The rest of my co-workers are constantly sick. On one call one person said to me that I must be fully up to date since I'm never sick. I just stayed quiet. Not going to tell them that I've been a staunch anti-vaxxer for all vaxxes since I was nearly killed by them at 17.
