Shit hits close to home for me.
I'm a felon. It was between 2000-2005. Believe it or don't, it was vigilantism. Even my probation officer acknowledged it and told me he didn't believe I was a bad kid. It's that "one thing I did 20 years ago that makes me think I'm a badass." Edit: Hair-brained and poorly planned vigilantism.
I believe felons should be looked at on a case-by-case basis. John Perrys wearing a mask, breaking into a home and physically assaulting someone, is probably a case of "don't hire this one."
Edit: Jan 6 protesters, something like 367 of them got charged with at least one felony. Are these guys pariahs now too?
