They are seeing sparkly colored lights at the edge of the vision of their right eye. When they turn their head to look at it, the lights refused to come into the center of their field of view, so they keep turning their heads. It looks so real to them, they reach up and try to touch it, but they can't because there's nothing actually there. This causes them to turn in a circle, sometimes several circles, before they drop down dead. It's like a cat chasing its own tail.
That might account for some cases, but what about the cases where the person starts throwing punches and fighting an invisible enemy while looking scared right before dropping dead? These are the cases that interest me. I wanna know what they're seeing but I'm unwilling to take the shot to find out.
They are probably seeing beyond the veil and whatever dark entity has been sent to take their soul.
Most I have seen look scared, those ones that throw punches before are the really interesting ones IMO as well...
