Putting aside whether ‘covid 19’ exists or not , their findings lead to the growing evidence that this was manufactured in a bioweapons lab.

Not really, changing the gene expression in infected cells is common for a lot of different viruses. They do that to inhibit the production of the mRNA that is used by the cells to produce the stuff needed to fight the virus and to alarm the immune system. Because every virus leads to a slightly different gene expression, the gene expression found in the first COVID patients showed that there was a unknown virus.

Agreed. If you wanted to incubate a bioweapon though…

tl;dr: It is known that viruses send proteins into the nucleus of infected cells to change the gene expression to inhibit the immune response. Researchers have now identified one of the proteins used by SARS-CoV-2 to do that.

Fun fact: Such proteins get transported by so called importins into the nucleus. Ivermectin fights SARS-CoV-2 (and a lot of other viruses) by blocking the importins, allowing the cell to create the stuff needed to alarm the immune system (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0166354219307211).
