I’ve looked but can’t find it but after 9/11 or obama became president they were threatening retired generals with court martial and loss of retirement benefits for “conduct unbecoming of an officer”.
This is all I can find. Retirees can be be tried by UCMJ even if the crime is committed after they’ve retired according to scotus. Which seems completely crazy, they’ve done their time but still don’t get the same trial as a civilian because it’s a military pension? Crazy.
