This is true. Intelligent people are more susceptible to brainwashing I have read. I speculate that confirmation of the single message from multiple sources is a powerful influencer for them. I avoid mass media and popular culture. When I see the single message it is not confirmation of fact, but confirmation of that which is hoped most people believe. And then I ask myself, "why?" I am a subversive, I guess.
