That's funny. I was just thinking this today when I was trying to explain to my shitlib family why omicron was the end of the pandemic. I was explaining that it can only go one of two ways:
- It's going to spread so rapidly that everyone's had it before a new variant can get established, thus closing the chapter on SARS=CoV-2, or
- It's going to spready so rapidly that everyone's going to realize that the vaccines offer no protection, masks offer no protections, and government mandates offer no protection.
If #2, the only choice facing people will be do we suffer the psychological damage to our children, and the devastation of our economy only to be infected by variant after variant anyway, or do we just decide that's the world we live in and go on about our lives as best we can?
