I tested negative both times I was tested, while currently sick and describing symptoms that match up exactly with covid. Only tested at all because I missed a little work and our HR person said they get some kind of compensation if you test positive.

I'm 99% sure I had it twice. Mostly just felt tired and coughed a bit. Then I was fine.

I think the article is right: those tests are just plain crap and highly inaccurate.

I thought I had already had it until I actually did get it and realized how different it was from anything I had previously caught. It's a weird disease. I felt mostly ok but looked like I was half dead. I'm told I sounded like shit. My friend sent me a similar picture while saying he mostly felt fine too. The loss of taste/smell is distinct. Some of the after effects are strange too, I went from being very fit to very weak, a long flight of stairs felt like HIIT exercise at the end and that was after I recovered. Luckily that was temporary too but I had to work to get my fitness back.

I'm also skeptical that anyone with a normal immune system is catching it multiple times. My understanding is that natural immunity is a strong, long term protection and only journalists say otherwise.
