Right. If you look up "Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in Kingwood" on google, it has it listed as a hospital.
I used the word "Hospital" intentionally as I don't believe the article is being honest. There is some nuance on facility care levels, if they have an ICU ward, etc. But, bottom line is that these newer "stand alone ERs" are larger than some hospitals.
Besides ignoring the real reason for the closing (that they fired the staff), the article is also downplaying the closing that it is just an ER.

You're free write whatever you want. It’s my opinion that the title is deceptive. Free standing ER’s do not have ICU”’s. I’ve worked at many of them. They have normal ER room set ups, a radiology department and a Lab. They have always been run by a parent hospital and operate under their medical direction. “Houston Hospital Closes “Free Standing” ER due to “Covid Surge”.
