I dont really look at this as controlled op. I look at it as one of many locations along the political spectrum. People who have identified as life-long free speech anti-authoritarian liberals are experiencing cognitive dissonance and are trying to negotiate their left wing tribe loyalty with their objection left wing tyranny. So you have this muddled half apologetic position. If jews actually acknowleged internally that no one gassed them in WW2 their heads would explode. You would negate the entire identity of guys like Weinstein. He is an interesting guy though and Ive learned a few things from him, even if he has massive blindspots.
