I'm always up for BBQ.

Studying this design ... there is no chimney? The smoke will engulf the cook? Is there more to cooking with this set up than I realize?

The chimney was wooden I'm guessing.

The chimney is actually not attached to the barbecue. It’s several feet away and it was built several years later.
