I noticed this the other day, the ads that used to say 10G are now "gigaspeed" or some other gay shit. Those retards are literally trying to sell their inferior service based upon how "fast" the router is inside your LAN not what speeds they can provide.

They should be ma-belled.

Yeah, sadly most people are extremely stupid and have no fucking clue what network speed is or how it relates to their ability to do.. Anything.

The younger generation is just as bad too. They hear words like "10G" and are like.. OMFG THATS 10 GIG! No. it is not, you fucking moron. Look at the specs.

they're killing themselves. They recently lowered our "generous" data cap from 2tb to 1.2tb. We don't have TV. We use internet for everything. I think as of the reset tonight, we have like 50gb left for the month. It's horse shit. I can deal with outages. I can deal with stupid prices. But if I want more data, I have to use their fucking equipment? FUCK YOU. Beyond the fact that I refuse to pay for their equipment, I don't trust what they backdoor their shit with.

Agreed, I have not used ISP modems/gear for a decade at least. They keep trying to get me to use their gear and I refuse. Besides, I know better what I need than they do and I have a home network that is far more complicated than the usual and I have all of my own gear to manage it. The last thing I want is any of their crap in my network to deal with.
