It's just outright gaslighting. This is not a surprising turn. They will go from demonising it, to denying that they coerced doctors to not use it, to denying that they said it was dangerous to claiming that they said it is safe to eventually claiming that doctors ignored their pleas to use it. They do not care that they are obviously lying because the majority of NPCs will eagerly accept whatever they say, because they are "The Science"
