Worked for a big company. They used the covid scare as a opportunity to shut down our shop to try and force people to move to a different location 6+ hours away.
A few of my coworkers decided to stay. But I took a severance payout along with probably 80% of my other coworkers.
As far as I know, everyone who stayed took the shot. Even if they were against it or skeptical of the situation. They just could not bring themselves to walk away from the pay.
Main reason many took it was due to the fact that the field work required leaves you at the whims of a customer. And almost all customers adopted a hard stance of "no jab, no being allowed on site".
