The issue is the successful effort to remove from use ALL the medicines that can avoid you going to ICU.
In italy you cannot find ivermectin, it is simply not available.

In America the hospitals would send you home without anything.. until you got very very sick then they would admit you and give you Remdesivir (which was made for ebola, so this is off label too)
