I wish we could trust statistics. But there's been so much confusion over "dying from covid" and "dying from something and also has covid" that even official numbers like that are useless.

It's obviously a real virus and can be serious. I've had it and know people who were hospitalized from it, but it's still more of a hustle than it is a threat.

My sister tested negative for COVID-19 on the home rapid test.

She had cold symptoms that started to get worse.

She showed up to work, got tested with the "real" medical COVID-19 rapid test, was positive.

Meaning, yup, I agree with you. The only reliable tests are still in the hospitals and medical clinics. Even among those, there are lower reliability ones. Last I reviewed the literature on these, only 2 of the fancy rapid tests had a high accuracy rate over 98%.

Also, based on the death data, we know the COVID-19 deaths are unrepresented in that data, not over represented. We aren't counting enough deaths - we are missing quite a few. Not to mention, we know China had tens of thousands of more people die than they let on, early in the pandemic.

No, you don't agree with me. You think the numbers are off because our tests aren't perfect but "we're tryyyying" and working together against a deadly disease.

Covid is surrounded by lies, not innocent mistakes. This is political theater around a disease with some mortality like lots of diseases. And you're being an apologist for people who are doing horrible things to the entire world

I never said that. At all. Are you responding to the correct person?

And you're being an apologist for people who are doing horrible things to the entire world

Never did that or said that, either.

Is pointing out that a shitload of people are in hospitals, currently, and dying, currently, being an apologist? For whom? The virus? The virus doesn't give a shit about what I think. It's going to continue to kill a shitload of people until everyone has been exposed that can get exposed. We can't vax our way out of it.
