Even if I wanted to do that, my company makes you quarantine for the time specified whether or not you're positive or negative. If you have a spouse or family member who pops and you don't, you dont get paid. 2/3's at that. Really incentivizes the honesty.

I said, "tested for what?" as I had no fucking idea what she was talking about. Why would a person working from home, who is sick, go out to take a false positive test then drive back home?

Sit around waiting room with dozens of guys coughing, sneezing, puking into waste baskets. Finally see some 19yo corpsman that takes your temp and tells your sick, and gives you a bed-rest chit. Shuffle miles across the base to your work area, show the NCOIC the chit and he tells you to go back to the barracks to bed. Shuffle a mile or so to the barracks. Next day feel even worse. Go straight to sickbay, eventually see a different 20yo corpsman, shit dude, you're sick! Wait awhile a Chief checks your temp, dude you were put on bed rest yesterday, why are you worn out? Better get one of the docs to see you. Doc right out of med school says it might be pneumonia. Wants to know why you were wandering all over the base before you went to bed. You might be written up for not following 1st corpsmans order for bed rest. Finally get well. Enlistment is almost up, have to go see the career counselor about re-enlisting.

She wont take horse paste. And she went to get tested knowing the result would change absolutely nothing. But she did it. Its so fucking stupid. And supposedly she does have covid. But thats fucking meaningless cuz the tests are nonsense and they wont do anything for her until its far too late if she does catch a bad case. Fucking seriously retarded.
