the unfortunate thing is we dont know who the puppet master is so the puppets may die but the master lives on

If you cut the body off the snake head it still dies.

You had a smart mom

natural selection denyal has created lots of dumb mothers, quite a lot of them, I would say 50% of the female population

These are the same people who say they'd be hiding jews in their attics had they lived in Nazi Germany.

I remember one of the first times I was asked that question and I told my mom (or grandma) that they wouldn't need to jump because I'd push them over.

It was a real quiet dinner that night.

two things, 1. people who used to say that simply have no integrity and are blatant hypocrites. 2. They were thinking of people they considered peers when saying this, but if it's someone they think is above them, they will obey unquestioningly.

Everybodies doing it!

What are you scared?

Little babies afraid to join the crowd!

Wheres the no bully movement when the whole world's being bullied.

Or does that just apply to a certain demographic they needed to condition prior to these past 2 years.

Make them mentally weak and they accept anything.

pretty sure every kid who wasn't a dull nerd would be a smartass and say yes when asked that question

Well my friends are all smart, rational people. Part of the reason they're my friends. If they all jumped off a bridge, there was very likely a good reason. Maybe it was on fire or something, and jumping was the safest option in the circumstances. So answering "yes" isn't really that smart-ass a response.

Or maybe they all had a shared moment of insanity or the brain rays affected them all at once, who knows. I'd still make my own decision regardless.

giving an answer and internalizing it are two very different things

[–] 1 pt

those are the ones that had mothers asking them if they would play in traffic, those are the ones that always answered yes.

you're hanging out with the ones that wouldnt jump off the bridge

[–] 1 pt

I always thought it was, "If all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you jump off too?" Who would want to live without any friends? Oh, wait, never mind...

I would always answer rationally with an NO.

How can you claim the rational answer is no? Experience shows that most people will jump off a bridge if everyone else is and examples of such a thing are far far more numerous than the opposite.

[–] 1 pt

well rationality requires the prerequisite of individual thinking when you cant think for yourself do you deserve/have free will?

This is an example of getting that question wrong...
