Was on a different post and saw that some people aren’t aware of this, thought this would be helpful.

Nicotine users, on average, have significantly lower hospitalization rates. This has to do with the way nicotine acts within the lungs, which helps kill covid in the lungs. Getting covid in the lungs is what makes someone go to the hospital, so nicotine use can help in preventing it. I’m linking a clinical trials study that explains the details much better than I can.

Here’s also another study that links the use of marijuana and lower hospitalization rates as well. https://www.foxla.com/news/study-thc-in-marijuana-could-help-avert-fatal-covid-19-complications

My personal suspicion is that it’s the act of putting smoke in your lungs which fucks with the virus there.

I had COVID recently and got through it in a day, specifically went and grabbed my pipe tobacco and my weed.

A pack a day keeps the doctor away.

When this Chinese flu nonsense first started it was reported that in France hospitalization/ death among smokers from the flu was very low compared to non- smokers.

Yea, I've read that and it was an intereting question if the layer covering the lung by the smoke actually keeps the virus away from the cells. I haven't read any further information about this topic, would be interesting.

I'll vouch for a quick recovery, just today. 99.5 temp and I did my best to keep the smoke rising. I also rested for awhile, after getting some daily chores finished and was at 102.5 yesterday.

"Vitamin B3 [niacin (nicotinic acid, pantothenic acid)] has an anti-inflammatory impact, and recent studies show that it can help reduce inflammation in patients with COVID-19 and can even be used as an adjunct therapy."

Nicotinic acid is in nicotine. Been taking it for years. Love the "flush".

Interesting note: Psychotic people are often heavy smokers. B3 can be very useful in treating psychoses.
