That's why I always look at the positivity rate. Although that can be fudged through changing the Ct to increase the false positives or testing a different cohort that has a different underlying infection rate. Basically, none of them can be believed on anything.

Test postitivity peaked in January, then there was guidance on how samples should be handled, and there was a 2/3 reduction of new cases in the dead ass of winter when the fully vaccinated rate was .3% to under 6%. The all time global test positivity rate is roughly 6.1% and hasn't really ever swung above 8 or 9 throughout the whole time I've been monitoring it.

They are going to use cohort/batch testing to keep the test rate high in 2022.
