I think the idea that China may be looking for a solution to its burgeoning demographic problems caused by decades of the one child policy are at least worth considering.

Well I'm fairly certain they wanted a war to solve the surplus male question, then if they performed well in the war they'd be able to use the resources won during the war to boom a young generation and play them just like the boomers were played.

I have been saying this since my voat days: the Chinese did this to cull the older, voting, conservatives in the US (among a laundry list of other things they did this for).
