I'm not seeing it either, but the space is there where it should go. Did you name the file banner with a lower case b? Make sure the filename and the image name in between %%s matches. Other than that... maybe try getting rid of background-color: #000?? That's what I have on my css and it seems to work though, so I can't see why it would be that.
