Librem computers and phone are as conflict free as you can find in the states. They are working to having all components built in the u.s.
In Europe the fair phone is likely the best choice.

As with everything you cant. At best you are stuck with information you didnt and cant personally verify yet have no clear reason to doubt.

Its a good question regardless of why its asked. Pointing out genuine issues worthy of mention is also good even when clueless on solutions. The main reason why humans have advanced beyond every other creature on Earth is due to intellectual cooperation.
Identifying problems, wanting solutions, and offering possible solutions are all part of fixing a mess.
Each is an important part of making things better. That first step is what opens the door for the rest of the process.
