I see smokers in two demographics, the dregs of course, but also with the affluent and wealthy. I don't mean upper middle class. I mean the "I own this building" kind of wealth. If you're looking, you'll still see ashtrays in very nice places you wouldn't expect them to be.
Seems like those two groups both have the "I do my own thing" kind of attitude.
